A light, powerful saw for everyday forestry work
The MS 300 C-M is STIHL’s new professional 50cc chainsaw, built for foresters, tree surgeons and anyone who cuts a lot of timber. It replaces the popular MS 261 C-M and has been redesigned from the ground up. With a 4.8kg powerhead and 3.3kW of power, it has the best power-to-weight ratio in its class.
It suits felling small to medium-sized trees, processing timber, snedding and cutting firewood.
More torque, faster chain
The bigger engine gives 15% more torque than the MS 261 C-M, so the saw holds its speed in thicker wood instead of bogging down mid-cut. Chain acceleration matches the fuel-injected MS 500i, going from 0 to 100km/h in 0.25 seconds.
STIHL M-Tronic 3.0 manages ignition and fuel automatically for temperature, altitude and fuel quality, so it starts easily and runs right every time, with no carburettor adjusting.
Comfortable on long days
A compact body, low gyroscopic forces and an improved rear handle make it easy to handle when felling, limbing and plunge cutting. The STIHL anti-vibration system and a wide knee support take the strain out of a full day’s work.
