New for 2026 · Battery range
Westermann, now powered by STIHL
The Moss Brush and Weed Ripper you know, now running on the STIHL batteries already in your van.
We’ve stocked Westermann sweepers and STIHL tools side by side here in Clonkeen for years, so we’re delighted to see the two brands team up. Westermann has built new battery versions of its popular WR870 Moss Brush and WKB Weed Ripper that run on STIHL’s professional battery system.
The idea came straight from customer feedback: Westermann users wanted a battery option that fits into the kit they already own. If you already run STIHL battery tools, there’s no extra battery or charger to buy and no new system to learn.
Westermann × STIHL
WR870 Moss Brush
Chemical-free moss and weed removal from paths, patios and driveways, now quieter and with zero emissions.
Westermann × STIHL
WKB Weed Ripper
Rips stubborn weeds out of joints and edges without water or sprays. Same Westermann build, now on battery power.
Why STIHL ALLPRO?
The new machines run on STIHL’s ALLPRO battery system, which is designed for all-day professional use in landscaping, horticulture and grounds care. ALLPRO is also backwards compatible with STIHL’s older AP batteries and chargers, so the gear you already have keeps working.

Why go battery?
Battery power means zero emissions, less noise and less vibration than petrol. That makes a real difference when you’re working near homes, schools or busy commercial sites, and it keeps you ahead as air-quality rules tighten.
Westermann machines were already an eco-friendly choice, with no chemicals and none of the water a pressure washer uses. Going battery takes that one step further.
